Synopsis

'Raid' is a story about Income Tax search at a corrupt politician house but along with that it beautifully combines elements of politics, economics, ethics and courage. From the face it may appear boring but throughout it provides accurate laughs, and also manages to touch your heart at right places with right chords. The positives are not just limited to that it also gives some valuable information on Income tax searches which make people aware about the rights they enjoy during such search. The movie have a very real feel overall and also entertains along with it.Ajay Devgan plays the role of a soft spoken Income tax officer Abhay Patnaik with perfection, Saurabh Shukla as a corrupt politician again did fabulous job, Ileana D'cruz along with others gave very believable performances without any over the top acting or heroism which is big plus for such a movie. Overall movie is a perfect infotainment which entertains along with some valuable information and awareness.

Magnets

  1. Genuine and Touching
The movie have a genuine feel throughout which makes it believable and realistic, further the movie also manages to touch your heart and keep you entertain throughout.
  2. Great Performances
The movie have some great performances especially by Ajay Devgan and Saurabh Shukla who leave no scope for flaws.
  3. Content that Matters
The movie causes awareness about things that really matter and are believable which seperates it from the irrelevant and unrealistic filmy awareness which few recent Akshay Kumar movies were promoting which gave disastrous results.
  4. Superlative Acting
With Kay Kay Menon in the cast it is needless to say that you will see some top notch performances as he not just gives his best but always bring the best out of others co-actors.

Un-Magnets

  1. None
If you go with a correct mindset for such a movie i.e. of getting entertained along with some valuable awareness, then you will come out with no scope for complaints left.
  2. Not Scary
Its expected from a horor movie that it will scare the audiences but 'Pari' rarely scares you and in the end you may disagree with its tag line and it will appear more like a fairy tale only.
  3. Unflattering Humour
The humour of the movie simply falls flat, one liners forget making you laugh cannot even make you smile and it claimed itself to be a comedy. Even performances had nothing special, Diljit was fine and Sonakshi just copying other actresses cute scenes from past but still failed to manage appear cute.

Magnet Call
